Surgical Instrument Sourcing for Distributors
Precivaro sources surgical instruments from established manufacturers in Pakistan and China and supplies them to medical distributors, importers and regional buying groups. Every order is made to order and quoted against your specifications, so you can build a range for your market without managing several factories yourself.
Who we work with
- Established medical distributors adding instrument families or a second source to an existing portfolio.
- Emerging distribution businesses building a first surgical instrument range for their market.
- Regional importers and buying groups consolidating purchasing requirements across customers.
Our current focus is distributors in South America and Africa. Precivaro works with business customers only.
Instrument families you can source
The Precivaro catalog lists each instrument with its name, Precivaro code, sizes, material, finish and packaging. Main families include:
- Surgical scissors and shears, such as Iris, Metzenbaum and Mayo patterns
- Forceps and clamps, including tissue, hemostatic and specialty forceps
- Needle holders, such as Mayo-Hegar, Crile-Wood and Adson
- Surgical retractors, such as Richardson and Army-Navy
- Scalpel handles and blades, suction tubes, probes and dilators, and sterilization cases
Our guide to surgical instrument types explains the families and what to specify for each. If you need an instrument or specification that isn’t listed, include it in your request and we’ll check it with our manufacturing partners.
How sourcing works
- Send your requirements. Choose instruments from the catalog or share your own list with sizes, quantities, finish and documentation needs.
- Receive a quotation. We review the request with our manufacturing partners and send a formal quotation with prices, delivery and payment terms, usually within 1–3 business days.
- Confirm the order. An advance, typically 30%, confirms the order and starts production.
- Manufacturing and inspection. Instruments are made and inspected at the factory, and Precivaro reviews the QC report before release.
- International shipping. The order ships by air or sea under the agreed delivery terms, DAP or CIP.
- Track and reorder. Distributors with an account follow production, shipping and documents in the distributor portal.
Manufacturing and QC typically take 30–45 days, followed by 3–7 days by air or 25–40 days by sea. These are typical estimates, not guarantees; your quotation confirms the schedule for your order. See what to include in a surgical instrument RFQ to get an accurate quote the first time, or the procurement guide for the full buying process.
Quality and documentation
Each order is checked at set points: the steel grade is verified against the material certificate, forging, machining and assembly are checked during production, and function, alignment, finish and marking are inspected before a QC report is issued. Batch or lot identification links your instruments to their inspection records.
On request, we can provide product technical sheets, material certificates, the manufacturing partner’s ISO 13485 certificate where the partner holds one (it certifies the manufacturer, not Precivaro), and product- or market-specific regulatory documents. Precivaro-branded instruments
Instruments are supplied under the Precivaro brand. We focus on wholesale supply of our catalogue range to qualified distributors and importers.
What importers handle
As the importer, you are responsible for customs clearance through a broker, import approvals and regulatory registration in your country, import duties, VAT and broker fees, and any licence needed to store and sell medical devices. We provide the export documents for each shipment: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin where applicable, air waybill or bill of lading, and the approved QC report.
